Lads i just wanted to push a good site that i found for the Gym NUT www,perfectbody.ie i have no ties with it but i thought i pass on the good site it fairly cheap compared to shops and you get free gifts over 25 euro and 50 euro more you spend better the gift and free post over 50 Next day courier delivery too i just got protein and creatine there for 50 quid which retails at over 70 in shops

125cc Sports bike wanted

Hi. I'm after a 125cc sports bike to start off my racing career

on. Preferably, I'm after either a Aprilia RS125, Honda NSR125 or Honda CBR125. I will consider other bikes, but the three mentioned are the ones I'd prefer. Must be in decent nick, good paintwork condition isn't necessary. MUST be running. Engine must also be in decent nick ie. Not about to fail spectacularly.

Ok....so here's my heart breaking story...get the violins out!.....My Blade is very ill.

Approximately ONE YEAR ago I was driving in town when all of a sudden my bike died. No lights.no indicators. Nothing. Fook I couldn't even blow the horn at some hot looking girl walking past! So anyway, I decided to get some fella to put my bike on a truck to Capital Honda in Swords (now "closed Capital Honda in Swords")...well, the news just didn't get any better. I was told that the Stator has given the ghost and needs to be replaced...Replaced??? Ok, I said to myself...anything for the Blade !! so I happily told them to go ahead. They rang back to tell me that all is well now and I could come an collect my baby...at a wopping price of €497.14.

The Blade was on the road again. I was swerving and swaying on the road like a KING in his ball gown!!! I was untouchable! and my hooter was working over time at all the girls !!

THEN

Today....the Blade died again...FOR A SECOND TIME!! no lights. no indicators. no FOOKIN hooter!...Well, at least I was just pulling into the drive at home when she blew her last breath...I was clever though, I had another battery ! I popped the other battery in and she fired up straight away....but then died gain fter a long while..the battery was flat gain.

Question time

1. Why?
2. Aren't stators bought from the dealer supposed to last longer than ONE YEAR? After all...it did cost a small fortune?
3. Is it even the stator?
4. Has anyone else with a 05 Blade also come across these issues? I do know that there was a recall on these models some years ago...but hell...I replaced the stator already...

just wanted to thank the missus of a biker around the swords area. seen her with a chap in swords, he has what looks to be a matt black '90 bike, never seen a bike like it before, not sure what it is. im hopin hes on ths forum, maybe someone knows him, anyway just wanted to thank his other half for helping my grandmother when no one else was bothered to, smashin girl, really appreciated it! :thumbsfupped:

Noel Clegg is a long time supporter and sponsor of racing I recieved this from him today If you can't go this year a souvenire may be of interest if you are going she has an exhibition durring TT fortnight:- donations are being made to the Air Ambulance and the TT riders association from sales of the calender

Our daughter has been creating an alternative calendar about the Isle of Man TT. It includes a short tail
for every picture and is very entertaining. It is all her own work, genuine photographs, even the goose is live.

Righteo, Ive a cupla cheist

1) Where would I find the rubber bits that go between the mirrors and the plastics/screen brace for a NC30 and FZR400?
2) Where would I find the rubber bits that go between tank and frame on the NC30?
3) Where would I find decent fairing bolt and engine bolt kits?
4) Is there anyway of shortening the reach of the clutch when ya dont have one of those twisty things that shorten it for ya, can you buy a whole new connector thingy that attaches the clutch lever to the handlebar? :sorry:

for my lack of explainatory ability!
5) Whats the best way to clean a radiator that seems to be more dried in mud than radiator?
6) Where the bloody hell did I leave the charger for me camera battery so I can take pics of the rad and clutch to show ye what I mean?

Clutch cable resting against engine?

Hi

I recently replaced my clutch cable for a longer one, because I fitted new handlebars. The new clutch cable is quite a bit longer and rests against the engine. Is that a bad idea? Would it dry out all the lube in it?

Hi everyone,
Hope this in the right section. I had a TomTom Urban Rider - thing is (cutting story short) it is fubarred! I am getting a credit for it towards a new one - but going for Garmin this time. Now I want to get a reliable and good one - one that will last me years (I hope!). I know the Zumo's have severeal available - 220, 550, and 660. So I would like to ask those of you who have them to advise me on which would be a good investment. I'd like to hear the good, the bad and the so-so stories.
here's a link comparing the 3 - but at this stage it looks like gibberish! compare the zumos. I don't need to buy a set with a Scala headset in it as I already bought one for the Tomtom 6 months or so ago (though admit worried as the earpieces are coming away from the velcro piece). So just need the handset.

Race the Ras

I was going to put this in the charity section but as I'm not asking for anything I thought it would be ok here. If its not then maybe a kindly mod can move it.

I've booked the bike in for tyres, brakes and a service for Friday. Will be all set then for the 2000km+ spin round Ireland that starts on Sunday at 7am in Dunboyne and finishes in Skerries the following Sunday evening.
The route is officialy 1168kms but as I'm a marshal and will be up and down the road all day I expect to double it.

We will be 3/4 hours ahead of the main race on the http://racetheras.com/ charity fundraiser hoping to raise 250k for the National Breast Cancer Research Institute and Aware.
Last year we had a target of 100k for Cancer Research and Goal. We raised 140k+. :woot:

I'll be joined by fellow IBF members Valkeire and Tripleman as well as some others including approx 175 cyclists and a back up team of vans, cars, minibus etc.
Keep an eye out for us and give us a wave.

Got a call yesterday from the Irish Blood transfusion Service as they are really low on B Negative blood stocks. They asked if I would be able to drop by and donate. I missed an appointment while away in Scotland so will be attending tomorrow at 6pm in D'Olier Street. So if you are the same type and can spare a bit of time some evening this week, stop by and make a donation.

From a long way back it's being batein one of me brain cells to bits, an itch I'd have to scatch ,a don't do it ,Id have to do
I've had two DTs 125 and 175 a superdream a cx eurosport a cx 500 a cb750 three cb 900s a slingshot, a gsxr, A bandit 12, a cbr 600,a zzr1100,
And some I forget since 1985 but I've always wanted two things a v max which I now have and the other a trike
So yesterday I got me a 1952 vw beetle 1300 engineand chassy , as usually with me , spontaneous and un educated. so now I need to ask the questions that I should have asked first what are the regulations for such a vehicle? what do I need to be careful with ?
I've a lot of work to do on her but I can be handy enough that way and I'd rather do it me own way
I'll be like a magpie now for shinny bits so shed and outhouse checks for bits that might suit , brain waves for ideas accepted along with donations not scavenging or owt ,but it wud be like recycling and in some cases help ease the weight on the work shop shelves .
But most of all info help and outlined pitfalls to ease the strain on me other brain cell, which is already overburdened with the few other important things in life wimins and livin
I will post pics and out line the journey from start to highway, with credits due and a detailed part description and source no matter how small
IE Filthy mc nastys left nut from his cromed lavatory roll holder
Take the pish if yiz like I know it's a cage engine but it really wants to be a bike and I'm going to help it
