Start drying and applying the autosol to the shiney bits, let that sit...
While thats sittn, go back and grease up all the bits the jizer took the grease from, stand, gear lever, clutch lever, lube up the chain, refill the scottoiler, get her primed and going, THEN start wiping the autosol in with your fingers (heat from your hands makes it apply better, sez it on the tube...) then the LINT free cloth, off it comes and she is bootiful and gorgeous and ready to blind the crap outa anyone, haw haw,
Still have to get that derusting gel stuff Larry was telln me about, Autosol aint great tbh...
Whats Jizer???
Is it something you "whip up" yourself?

All this talk of cleaning bikes, I almost feel like ... maybe I'll just lie down until the feeling passes. It might fall apart if I took all that muck off! Mind you, it was bothering someone else how dirty my bike is, so he started cleaning it

Anyhoo............... I did a small bit of research into what some of my buddies clean theirs with and was kinda perturbed to find out it was washing up liquid. <_< Now for those of you who don't know (and I'm sure most of you do), there is an exorbatant (sp?) amount of salt in washing up liquid, hence it being so good at washing up - abrasive properties. And have any of you ever noticed that your hands are dry after washing up - the salt absorbing the water from your skin (so I've been told).
So, what do you use on your baby??

Daz white: rims, fairing, painted metal parts
washing liquid (green/ecological thingy not fairy®): fairing, painted metal parts
Brake cleaner: brake discs, calipers, ....
Carb cleaner: any engine part
WD40: remove grease/tar (see autosol also). I try to use WD40 on small/specific areas. I find it too "greasy" to cover the bike with it. Oh and I clean the shower panel with it too
