This Biking News Forum is to post bike related news that you've read, watched or heard.
Before posting, please make sure that the news is not more relevant in another forum.
For example:
-motoGP results should be posted in Racing and Track Days.
-news item on a new regulation would be better posted in Riding The Red Tape.
Also, make sure nobody has already started a thread on the same news item. If there is one already but you have a different source, use the same thread, don't start a new one.
Always include the source of the news:
-For a web site, include a link to the page using the Insert Link button. If you copy and paste all or some of the text, please make sure to clean if to remove any irrelevant text or HTML tags.
-For newspaper/magazine, please give the title, date or issue number. A scan of a page is great so the other can read it and you don't have to type all the text.
-For TV/Radio, give the name of the show and the time. Sometimes it is possible to listen or watch past shows from the broadcaster's website, in this case a link would be great.
Make sure to keep separated the original text from yours using italic or quote. Same when replying, do not fully quote a long post, keep only the parts relevant to your comment(s).
Unfortunately sometime accidents have to be reported, when replying to these posts be respectful. Offensive or off-topic posts won't be tolerated.
If you feel that the new item was misleading or unfair towards the victim(s) or the biking community check the Sticky "Media/Press Contact Information -The Record Straight !!!" to find out how and to whom you should complain.
Also, have a quick look through the Board Guidelines if you haven't already. As per the board guidelines the usual rules about slander, libel or [PG] posts apply.

On the subject of accidents and condolences. These threads will be closed after a while (few weeks) so that they won't be bumped months or years later.
If you have a good reason to post in these threads (for example a remembrance service), please contact a moderator/Community moderator and he/she will help you.
