I've long been a fan of Arai Lids, particularly the RX7. The most annoying thing was the fogging of the Visor and to be honest, with all the vents that the RX7 has it was really as good as it could be but in the rain and with a bit of mist it wasn't really the best !



Anyway, after 'testing' the impact resistance for real I had to buy a new lid so at the NEC I tried on a host of lids (all Arai). I had wanted the RX7 in the Nicky Hayden colours but couldn't get one so I settled on a Viper GT reduced from 400 to 290 Stg.



Anyway, the visor came pinlock ready so I asked if there was a pinlock insert for it and I was given one FOC. Piece of cake to fit just make sure that the silicone bead is in contact with the visor all the way round. Since then, no fogging and I can leave the visor down all the time It's much warmer and in my opinion, a great safety feature !!!

Have to agree with the pin lock top job.Have tried plenty of anti-fog products and found the pin lock the best by far.

Agreed! Wouldn't be without one now, after a year's trial in all weathers. Got into work the other morning and a colleague pulled up beside me and I couldn't see his eyes for the mist. Can't imagine what he was actually seeing at 8 am! I told him to get a pinlock insert and see where he's going. Safety first how are you!
