I have also offered and have loaned people my bike (as I borrowed my bike before i bought it - thanks kopfan ! (I'll never forget it mate)

I also had a ride on kido's R1, Brilliant, and want to try out Suze' SV at some stage too.

RULES to this thread. THERE ARE RULES (sorry) PLEASE FECKING READ THEM !!!!!!!!!!!

1) Dont post things like "Tazzzie (or other username), can I have a shot on your Gixxxer", because it puts undue pressure on people (and the gixxxer is still off the road) Rather - I'd like to try a gixxxer 750 (etc.) please, any offers ?

2) If your told no, or request not answered, dont be offended. I will not, nor would expect anybody else, let someone not known and trusted, to go off on his/her bike.

3) If you bend it (scratch/drop/engine explode etc. etc.) you mend it, no excuses. If you cannot afford to mend it, dont ride it. If the bike is not 100% and you ride it and the chain snaps (or other malfunction), then you mend it. End of story. If your suspicious of the bike, then thankfully reject the offer

4) Irishbikerforum takes no responsibility for anybody, or anything, injured or damaged. No exceptions.

5) You should be properly insured to ride a 3rd party bike (Fully comp usually facilitates this) and be prepared to prove this.

6) In no way is the "lender" (or Irishbikerforum) of the motorcycle responsible for any damages etc. to you should you sustain injury while riding the motorcycle.

Apart from the explicit rules above, the general spirit is this. If you break it, its your bad and you pay. If you break yourself and the bike, its your bad, you suffer and pay.

I'm willing to let a responsible person who has experience riding bigger bike and is insured to ride mine, try out my z1000. As long as it came back with no (new) dents.
I think this is a great idea, providing it done properly. You bend it you mend it.

Myself, i'd like to try a few of the newish 600's ie, zx6, r6, gsxr6, daytona 675, and also wouldn't mind trying s newish speed triple and a tuono.

Don't ask for much do i.

Would be more comfortable doing this in the spring/summer when the weather is a little more "other persons bike" friendly.

Someone asked me during the summer on a SMBR for a go on my R1 & i said No. I still feel a bit sihtty about saying no but it's not a standard R1 & it could spit you off very easily.

I'd like a go on Hatcho's SV, lovely looking bike & sounds really well too.
