I discovered today that I do not understand plain English. I suspect there may be some others who, like me, believe they do understand plain English when, in fact, they do not.
I have received two e-mails from Irish Biker Forum today.
Early this morning I received the following:

After reading the above I was foolish enough to think that if I did not do anything about renewing my subscription that it would expire.
So, I did nothing about it.
Those with a better grasp of plain English will no doubt be shaking their heads at my foolishness, and not be at all surprised to be told that I received the following mail 11 hours later:

Because instead of doing nothing as I was instructed, I had chosen to breathe, shower, shave, eat, drink, work and generally do things.
So, in conclusion. Those of you who don't wish to continue your subscription when it expires, remember not to do anything. If you should so much as breathe you will have your subsciption renewed too. And for goodness sake don't die, because that would be doing something too.
