from UKGSers - any help really appreciated - Thank You.
"Blue/White DRZ400S taken from the side of house sometime between 9pm last night and 11am this morning.
Reg -PCZ 2629,has MEC blue handguards fitted(after the pics were taken) and lacks stainless steel end plate off the exhaust. Footpeg rubbers are also missing as I have them. My zumo550 was also still fitted to the bike (stupidly) and was security screwed into the mount (I have manuals/papers as new and can prove ownership via serial number)
Front left rad fairing has part of the Suzuki S scraped off also
Has got alpha-dot so if theres a slight chance of even police reovery (reported already) at least theres an identifier
Any info please call me (Chris) on 07594 891850
These are the only pics I have of it -Note: My dearest mother was NOT on the bike when it was stolen (unfortunately)"
below - i copied the pics and did a 'picasa' job on them.

Good stuff!
I had one taken on me a few years back - after owning it for just 6wks. Either it or one like it was seen out in Finglas in the fields - I told the cops, but no use. If I had a rifle or hunting bow I would've gone out to scope out the fields & if spotted, the rider would've been shot & bike recovered - just aswell I don't have either a rifle or bow

from the owner;
"Quick update: Neighbours daughter was walking with her daughter up the street this morning, spotted a bike sitting on the footpath and in turn got the registration details.
I have acquired my DRZ400 back again The only thing wrong is the satnav arm,mount,550 and the power wire were all removed, but I can't complain about that, the garmin is worth 1/5 of what the bike cost me.
Ignition and fuel tank untouched, all electrics seem to be functioning although either the thieves or myself left the satnav on and drained the battery. Obvious that the intent of the theft was the satnav, probably not having a clue about bikes nor how to go about starting it
Waiting on the police coming out to print it sometime today.
So to everyone who looked out for it,posted the notice around the internet and spread the news by mouth. Thank you sooooooo much, christmas came early for me again.
One more thing:
The serial number of my satnav is :14D089474,
Garmin told me they could lock the unit from use but I need to check up with them again on that.Potential that the unit could be flogged on as "needs reset/reformatted" or something."
i think he should buy a lotto ticket now..... SO so lucky!
