Why is there a Business Member Group ?
This is primarily for two reasons.
The 1st reason is so people know who our Site Partners / Site Sponsors are. Sponsors / Partners are important to us. They help (as do donating members) financially which helps enable us to fund the site. i.e. Pay for the hosting, support when things go wrong, pay for DNS and for the domains. Site Sponsors usually offer an IBF discount (thanks!).
The 2nd reason is so people will know that when they are offered something that its not simply a case of one member helping out another member. If a commercial entity is offering items for sale on the forum the primary reason for the sale is to make money - not to help the members (granted you will probably get it at a discounted price).....

When should I become a business member ?
Now. All business links (avatars / signatures / pictures / urls etc.) will be removed from profiles as and when we see them and without notice/warning to you.
If you re-insert them - they will be removed again and you will incur a +warn penalty.
Why shoud I become a business member ?
Supporting IBF financially will help us keep the site (which you have enjoyed thus far) running.
Your potential customers will have an increased awareness of your business.
Depending on what option you decide to use to become a business member you could get a sub forum of your own in order to promote your business, products and or services.
Business members will be allowed to use their signature area to promote their own website (by way of a (tasteful) url for example)
