I know we have quite a few members here hoping to race in various catagories this year, and we wish you all the best and look forward to hearing how you got on and hope to help you celebrate / commiserate.

It has come up a few times of late that members are using their personal data space (avatars / sigs etc.) to promote their personal sponsors.

While we don't want to dictate to our members what is and isn't allowed, we also dont want IBF to be used as a personal advertising system at least not without some benefit to all of the members.

With this in mind please use the following guidelines:

-> If you wish to advertise personal sponsors, your sponsor MUST become a business member of the forum and offer a prize, competition or discount on products or services which is beneficial to ALL members (you can offer something on the members behalf if they are shy) however your sponsor MUST in all instances join the forum.

-> Your sponsor may wish to take a subscription on IBF, and or purchase a banner ad or dedicated "business member" forum at their discretion

-> You can use only your signature area for a descreet non-linking one line url.

NB: A monetary donation is not a requirement (tho it does help us to run IBF) to become a business member, an offering of something which benefits all members is fine.

Once your sponsor is a member of the forum, please let us know and we can make the appropriate arrangements.
