Hi all,
I'm wondering if anyone can tell me where I could find the VINs for a honda innova? I've searched online and come up blank. I've found one on a plate under the seat but I'm hoping there is another stamped on the frame somewhere. A call to a honda dealer suggested that there might me one under a panel somewhere.
I'm also wondering if anyone knows where I could find a manual for the bike. There doesn't seem to be any online or for sale anywhere.
Thanks...

Welcome onboard Quarko. Wish I had my Innova going again at times...way less hassle than the Bandit grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!! Nah, tis just bad luck at the moment.
Anyway the Innova is a fine bike, I loved mine.
As regards a manual for it, the closest you will find is the Honda Cub 90 manual, I've searched high and low for an Innova one and they don't exist it seems. Honda were going to sell me a manual for €30 but I thought that was a bit expensive. It's a basic enough machine so if you play around with it you'll be fine.
The VIN is something I never paid much attention to, I think it's simply the one under the seat although there may be one stamped on the frame somewhere...

Thanks Fabio, good to know. I think I'll shell out the cost to Honda for a manual as I've only owned a 50cc previously and could do with learning a bit about it. Hopefully I can find a Haynes manual that will teach me how to change the tube when i get a flat and things like that. I'm fairly green.
One thing you might know too is whether you think it would be feasible for me to stick a 45L top box on it. I would prefer a box that can hold two helmets but I don't know if one that big will fit the innova's rack or whether the bike's small size might be a problem.
Also, I found a front basket on a German site (also on a Thai one) that is supposedly a Honda product. You ever see one? I'm wondering if it's at all decent.

They have a few other things too, like a rack that attaches to the space between your legs. Not exactly sure how to use it. Here's a picture of it on the bike:

Thanks, they don't have it unfortunately. I'll get one off honda if they write back hopefully.

I dunno about the baskets, thought they were a bit naff myself but whatever you find practical...can't think of any safety issues to be fair.
I had a smaller box on the back of my Innova, a Givi one, holds one helmet but I used to fill it for college - I still use it on the Bandit and I can fit 6 books decent sized books in it, a laptop, laptop charger, folder, my lunch and a pair of shoes/runners in there. I think if the box was any bigger it would be overkill. You can tie a rucksack to the pillion space if you needed more space like...
