Saw the cops loading a bike in to their van during the week so asked was it a stolen one. Turned out it was.
Kawasaki, reg 94 D 49425. Cops in Tallaght have it if anyone knows the owner.

Don't be too sure. I had the Gardai arrive at my door one night and they informed me that my bike had been recovered and was in Clondalkin. I hadn't had a bike stolen but went over to the station out of curiosity. Not only was there not a bike I'd recognise, there were no bikes.

I remember someone posting here years ago saying the only way they got their bike back was because a friend was in the Garda station and saw it sitting in the back lot, rang the poster, poster rang station, sure enough it was his bike, just no one had followed it up in the 2 weeks it was sitting there after being recovered.

It's not just cars, it happened with with my Fiat Uno and my Da's Opel Kadett a few years back (two separate incidents and two different stations).

Bout 25 years ago I had a DT175 stolen from my garage (broke down the down and kicked the sh!te outta the dog to..)

Year or so later Gardai rang mentioning call was about my car stolen a year earlier....Car ??? no a bike, a bike says I, all hopeful.........until they said they were just enquiring if I had ever gotten it back

Was kinda before computers mind you (yes kids they was a life before computers )

once my bike was taken away by a gardai due to no tax, but 1 hour later I got it back from the same station by another gardai. then taxed next day. show them the disc so the case over. no any charge paid.
can't name the station of course.

saw a good few bikes parked on the back of the station, left like they stole it. some of them no side stand used even. just one against another like bicycles lying against wall.

ha, some of them only earning 2 or 300 a week now, u have to understand them sometimes, during these hard days - they r looking for more money for themself or just let u spend yours. so watch out when u ride out.
