i absolutely hate all these blue/red etc "instant gasket" type of products sold in car shops, most of them will detach from metal as soon you apply bit of heat and oil...also they dont really take much flexing .
packed in small tubes,sold for mad money and as good as some bathroom sealants. OKish for quick patch job but no use for engine assembly.

I was using DIRKO sealant for quite a while , which is strangely similar;) to assembly paste sold by HONDA car dealer.....shocking how much you can charge for logo:)


but Victor Reinz Seal worked for me every time. It is very similar to DIRKO paste but comes in nice dark gray color and mess free;) application nozzle. It will take some heat all the way up to +300c and sticks virtually to most surfaces. Can be used on e.g. water pumps, oil sumps, cylinder gaskets , bearing housing, rocket covers , crankcases etc

did quite a few repairs and never had issues when comes to oil leaks

prices for 200ml around 20 Euro depending on the shop

Locktite black gasket sealer is another good one.
Best I have found is the genuine Fiat/Lancia gasket sealer.
Bit of hassle getting it though..
