Need some help here
I need a new matterss & Carpets cleaned
All messing aside Laura gave birth to our beautiful daughter this morning @ 4.12 am
It was a home birth , a very unplaned home birth.
Laura woke me 3.45am to tell me she was getting pains ,She had been getting them from 12 midnight
She was in the last throws of labour & wanted to get into the shower and dress her self for the hospital
then came the flood less than two mins later I could see the crown of the babies head
So i called an ambulance & just had enough time to get Laura to the bed, There was no stopping this little girl she wanted out and she wanted out there and then
Jeasus it wasn't what I expected to happen Im kneeling there and I could see the head fully out
Very strange colour , I didnt know what to do I press the babie's cheeks and stroked her neck , she then started to blow bubbles and spit then she cried so I knew she was ok
One mome push and she was out and crying what a great sound .
I got some towles and wrapped her up in them to keep her warm
All the time Laura is asking what is it ,is it ok is it ok .
Then came the scary bit for me I had the baby out and wrapped up but i didnt know what to do next
So Laura as cool & calm as ever said just place her on my tummy so I put Baby Grace on her tummy and we both just cried
ambulance came and i knew two of the crew
they then took over made sure baby Grace was ok , they then cut the cord and wrapped her up and then they sorted Laura
They then took all of us to Holles street. For the Ladies Grace weighted in @ 8lb 1oz
Mother and baby doin good
Special thanks to John ,Brian and Noel ( The ambo crew )
This is going to be some story to tell her when she grows up
Grace was born the same day my Dad died 11yrs later
Ill keep ye posted & ill try to get some pics up
