Needed new boots for new Fazer..front was a bit like my head and rear was a bit square (like most other IBF members heads ) so brought it to work with me this morning...slip sliding away in the frosty

Tipped over to Paddy's Pitstop after lunch for a set of Pirelli Angel STs..nice natter with the man himself whilst he fitted new tyres...grand job, great price....

Did intend heading off and scrubbing them in but was too fcuking cold so only had a wee spin about west dublin.... Brrrrr
So a happy DC, new boots on Fazer all ready to be properly scrubbed in at weekend....where we going???

Those Angel STs are a great tyre Sean, Tania has them on her bike and got just over 8000 mls with very little squaring off.

A tyre price increase has come in since I ordered tyres (he had held them over for a couple of weeks for me) and I'm not sure what he charges now - so stating my price, which I think was further discounted cos I'm such a nice guy , would be meaningless...ring him if wish to know current price of Angel STs...great lad to deal with

Jayyyyysus that is freaky, I was only talking to a chap on Saturday about this place, I'd never heard of Paddys Pittstop before, heard that he's VERY reasonable so I'll be ringing for a price myself in the not too distant future.

Just thought I'd add to this thread rather than start a new one (recycling and all that!).

The virago needed a service, and although there are 2 fine workshops here in Drogheda, getting to them when I work in Dublin can be awkward, so decided to get the service done in Dublin instead.

I found this thread from DC recommending Paddy's Pitstop and, as it's located close to where I work, I booked the bike in for today.

Very happy with the service received - oil & filter, plugs, air filter, carb balancing (I knew I was unbalanced!!), minor problem with brake light switch (that I didn't even know I had), and a once-over of the bike (inc tyre pressures) all for a very reasonable price.

Paddy said my bike was well looked after (wonder who's doing that ), and if treated nicely, should last for years!

Now, anyone want to buy a freshly squeezed virago....

Asked em about a new o ring chain for me CB500 and was told they only do an x ring chain for that model as o ring chains are finished(which as it happens is more expensive? how about that!) Phoned Cotters and "hey"...they quoted me an o ring chain price?
