Hi-Visibility Garda Style Jackets - Round 5 Safety wear, Feb 2011

Hello all,
How many people would be interested in buying a TOP quality waterproof, lightweight Hi-viz jacket as worn by the Gardai but obviously without the Garda livery. I have one and they are a fantastic piece of kit for everyone but particularly those doing big mileage and commuting. I think others will concur when I say that trying to find a Hi-viz jacket suitable for the needs of motorcyclists is nigh-on impossible, however this one DOES fit the bill (pardon the pun). some features as follows:
- 100% waterproof
- lightweight
- inside pockets (zipper pockets)
- outside deep pockets
- incredibly effective 'REFLEXITE' reflective banding.
- button down flap down the length of the zip to preserve waterproofing.
- machine washable (brings them up like new.)
NOW, here's the catch, they are special order for the Gardai, so they cannot be bought off the shelf, I need as many buyers as possible before they will take an order (previously I needed 20 minimum, this time however the supplier would prefer more than this to make it worth setting up the production line for). They are €120 each but well worth it. If you are interested, post in this thread, only people who are seriously interested though, as money will have to be upfront to secure the order.
Note: XXL+ sizes incur an extra charge. XXL = €127.50 XXXL = €135
Proviso: I'm not sure if the VAT rate is due to go up or has done since the last budget but if it has, this will be reflected in the price.

One question though, I was comparing BooBoo's and YogiBear's jackets, and BooBoo has a Hi-Viz patch where the GARDA text normally is, YogiBear's does not. Would it be possible to add that patch to my jacket and would it be any extra? Cheers!

Yes I am hoping to have the patch re-instated on the next order. No extra charge.

I will put my name down as a definite for one of these .
I would imagine I'm a size "Large"
If there's any jacket that you know that size the same, you might let me know and I will try a fitting to get the size right
Thanks
Methuselah

Yes, absolutely. The more we have the better, to ensure the success of the order.

Seriously - these jackets are fantastic ... 2.5 years of daily commuting and the worst of the weather kept at bay ... the only glitch I've had is the reflective panels on the sleeves are beginning to show wear, but I'd be lying if I said I'd been kind to the jacket ... it gets properly abused
9 hours in torrential rain in the west, and not a drop let in ... worst impact was the cuffs were a touch moist
If you don't have one, you want one - seriously ...
(Other effects may include drivers on the M50 behaving themselves, mobile phones being dropped, and reduction in SMIDSY incidents ... your mileage may vary ... stocks may fall as well as rise, and tracker mortgages are hard to get nowadays !)
I have worn this jacket for the last 5 yrs . On No2 jacket at the moment . It is used every day . Goes in the washing machine ,comes up new every time. It has never leaked. They are for anybody who is using the bike throught out the year. The jacket I am wearing is Large. It is a snug fit around my Bike jacket whick is size Large.
