I have recently bought a 1996 vn800 and was told the day after i handed over a serious chunk of money that i would have to wait till the 8th of march to pick it up as it has to be re registered as it was on english plates!!!
I also spent about €1000 quid on gear (helmet, jacket, pats, boots etc...)
Surely there is a better way of re registering bikes than having to take them to an NCT centre!!!!
Really annoyed that i cannot get on this bike at the moment as i want to do some modification to it!!

Has there been a change? I registered a few bikes and it was a 5 min job.

Yea, was in with the store again this morning and told him that I was non to pleased to be handing over that much money and not have anything to show for it! And on such a lovely day too!!!!! He said it was a new thing as the bike is second hand and being driven on English plates, no more doing it on the net allowed.
