ive sold the cbr 600 and the slingshot is soon to part ways as its in the way in me shed but im thinking of going for a blackbird next the fuel injection model,, just wondering whats yer take on em by way of ,,tyres , chain and sprockets and what not ,, have heard that there heavy on tyres but id mostly be useing it as a passenger bike so wnt exactly be pushing it as im keeping onto my k4 600 ,,,

so what do the rest of ye make of the super blackbird(1100)?

Some people dont like the linked brakes on em, they prefer front and back brakes to work independently. Think theres a shop in the UK that charges around £500 to seperate front and back brake lines.

Stock cans all the way for me with the bird - when you're making progress on this baby anywhere near what it's capable of doing I think you need to go about it as discreetly as possible

Plus I love the sound of the engine and it's throaty induction roar

Yeah, I liked the look of them and the sound was incredible, but they were so loud that I used to change back to the standard every two weeks or so, then swap back again coz those were too quiet Even with plugs in they'd blow my brains out once I was past about 5k rpms. Sorry about the pic, it's about the only one I have from behind.

That's the only big problem I ever had with the BB (other than bloody rectifiers) - the lights were absolute shoite

taking off the 4 into 1 system ,, its good nice crak off her but she just looks naked on the left so picked up a set of art cans wit a funny stamp on em "not for road use" or somthing like that ,, and should have a good as new 4 into 2 downpipes by tomorrow eve,, if im not happy with the arts ive em sold on again so not so bad  new pics 034.jpg (464.17K)
