We get new phones at work and I have to choose between the Iphone4 or the Samsung Galaxy I9000S

Never had an iPhone or Android before and not particularly mad about having one anyway.

But I need access to my emails as I travel for work and do manly text a few phone calls now and then.


Any advice what would be best??????????

I know about the short battery life and all da, It's more the features and use of them things without being a wizard that bothers me

Got one a short time ago. I am not terribly enamoured with the idea of the good god google following me around. Nor was I enamoured with the Blackberry doing the same way, but at least I am not reading /

Its my first outing with an android phone. So far I can tell you this:

The screen is fantastic. Like really fantastic. The web browser is good, very good imo and the forum renders beautifully on it.. The phone is really quick. No lag at all so far anyway. There are a gazillion gadgets or market place apps if thats your thing.
It does make phone calls and text messages too. Its big, as in long, but its very thin, and quite light......

i didnt like the size of it at start but it is smarty pants phone with big screen and i love it now.

I like the exchange mail client , web browser and speed of the phone....camera is good too

it is great tool...have lots of apps installed and use it as vpn/remote desktop client , remote for my dreambox and torch rulez(simple things )

not big fan of big brother google but it does turn phone into nice accessory

usual smart phone battery life which you could consider brutal if you are migrating from something like nokia E71

no real complaints but i will load proper navigation

Ive had iphones since they first came out ( work phones ) iphone 4 is really nice , interface is lovely, exchange for outlook feature is fool proof for getting emails, i do agree with Tazzzie though about not wanting to answer work emails at 10.30 in the evening ! My only gripe with any of the iphones ive had is the reception, it drops calls for no reason , even in strong signal areas ... and the bluetooth can be a bit laggy ... that iaside its a pretty gobsihte proof phone, even if you dont like / trust / or careful apple products.

Im due an upgrade next month, iphone 5 is on the way , but i really like android , and many of my friends have android phones, samsung and HTC seem to be the pick of them , who knows what the Vodafone sales person will convince me to go for :-D

Well my boss finally decided that I get the iPhone,

I have it now for 3 moth and I'm not impressed,though the battery live is not a bad as expected,

Bluetooth is pretty useless and it's not doing what it's meant to do; work as a proper phone,
Email is okay but it often fails to connect to gmail,checked with google, nothing wrong on there side.

There are too many flaws and faults to it that and it does not justify the price and the fuss that is made about it,

It will keep it as long as it works, hopefully for a while but will not replace it with another apple product.

Feel exactly the same about mine. They are overhyped and overpriced!

Defo won't be missing mine when I replace it soon....

Go to any Carphone Warehouse and ask for advice, its Android all the way for me, have the HTC Desire Hd which had been superseded by the even better HTC Sensation, know little about the Galaxy, looks ok but a bit flimsy

Wouldn't have an iPhone if I was given one for free. You only have to look at one crossways and the screen breaks.

As for being tracked by google et al turn off the internet when not using it.
