Ladies / Gents - Given recent events on the forum - in order to protect the members and organisations we have created a template to be used for ALL future charity events. Hopefully this will be useful to help create some degree of transparency for the organisers of such runs and some level of trust for the members when they see that level of transparency.

The template can be considered a draft at this time. If there are suggestions for additions / removals please feel free to comment on that.

I would suggest that you enter the details requested in the template first and then go to continue posting your normal threads relating to charity events.
As per usual, all new threads in the charity event forum are subject to a moderation queue - usually this takes 24hours.

Is the event organiser a registered charity: (Yes / No)
Is the event poster a member of / representative of that registered: (Yes / No)
If registered state charity name / charity number:
Event type: Bike run, BBQ etc. etc.
Duration: (e.g. Morning / Afternoon / All day event)
Accommodation: (e.g. Camping / B&B / Hotel / NA)
Accommodation cost included in registration fee: Y/N
Dining: (e.g. Lunch provided)
Minimum Cost: / Contribution required to participate:

Minor update to the template to add clarity - if your posting an event on behalf of a registered charity, the correct response to the line in the template: Is the event organiser a registered charity: (Yes / No) is NO.
