Might be worth checking your voltages when the bike is running, AND then checking your alternator windings resistances...dead easy. Open plug that rectifier plugs into and check white, to white, to white...should be approx 2-3ohms resistance iirc....not 2, 2 and open circuit like mine is today. Have 2 rectifiers with me...one puts out 12.3 volts...other puts out 14.5 volts..but there isnt the amperage there to charge the battery properly, or power the lights fully etc....has been an ongoing fault now with me since i think i got the bike 30k kms ago...but as i was getting 14.5v or so, assumed everything was ok and that a 20yo bike just has poor electrics/lights etc. So tomorrow is bring bike to someone, try get the idea across in spanglish and much waving of hands, and hope for the best with a rewind.
You can also check the AC voltage those white wires are putting out, by iirc, starting bike with the regulator disconnected, and checking those whites to ground, should be 35v each methinks....double check on t'internet or service manual.
Might be an issue if you are going through batteries quickly.

Hatcho put me onto a crowd call Bettery Services (also trading as Hi-Volt) in the JFK industrial estate.
Battery for the SV1000 was €38
Battery for the Blade was just under €50 IIRC
Hatcho's post with map linky
