Economy/Navigation run competition

Would there be interest in a little charitable competition based around covering 100 miles of very mixed roads with a challenge to get the best MPG and to make it fairer for all engine sizes the highest % over the manufacturers/bike rags stated consumption. To make it more interesting it wont be follow the leader, a route would be provided in advance and you would have to hit certain checkpoints along the way with a max time for completion.
Small entry fee and all funds go to charity.

Logistically it could be difficult to organise , and would require sealing of petrol tanks etc to ensure compliance..

I've never heard of any type of run like this, so I'm a complete novice, that's why I didn't comment earlier, just didn't know what to say about it all. So come on enlighten me and everyone else.

Oh Shins you're so touchy. Never had a cancer stick in my mouth so not starting now. I can't afford it anyway.
I have am not sure how this would work, can't find anything on it. I will have to make up the rules. Briefly and not exhautively I imagine we would meet up on a sunday morning at a petrol station. I will get everyone to fill up under supervision to the max, record the miles on their odometer, send them out on a pre designed route at 1-2 mins intervals on a pre-announced route that would be measured, say 160kms maybe less, mix of everything, N's, R's, town centres and Motorway (but no tolls). I will meet everyone at the final destination, another petrol station and we will fill up again. Then work out the l/100km, so we have to think how to deal with those that are too competitive. I would ride the route the morning/day before and set a bench mark time and distance, I would be trying to stick to the limits as much as possible and everyone would have to be with in 110% or less of that time, so you can't go ridiculously slow. Obviously you can go as quick as you like but you will/should be using more fuel, so disadvantaging possible result. Also the distance you would have to be with in 10%+/-, no short cuts.
Everyone rides a different bike so a straight MPG comparism will not be fair. The winner will be the person that achieves the highest percentage above the fuel consumption given for their bike on MCN.
That is kinda the way I see it working but you can chip in with any ideas/improvements.
