'ello!

So I'm getting my hands on an '81 GS1100 American import (not landed yet) and, while the tank is away being "repaired", I think I'd like to get my hands on an undamaged one (new or otherwise) so I can be sure it's not gonna trickle out petrol onto the hot engine, mid-ride...

Does anyone know where this, or other suitable tanks are available from? I've checked out a couple of "parts online" companies but they don't seem to offer fuel tanks. I've e-mailed and am awaiting replies though so fingers crossed...

Tank doesn't even need to be a painted/finished one as I'll likely strip it and do something with it myself anyway.

Hmmm...ebay I'd say. Or a breakers yard but it could eb a difficult one.

Thanks. Yeah, I'm finding it a little difficult to track one down.

Does anyone know any decent fabricators that could rustle up a suitable custom tank for the bike? Something that doesn't look too out of place etc.

Turns out the guy that was given the tank to repair, has moved to Cork somewhere and at the moment is uncontactable - so I'm treating the tank as "lost"
