Hi Guys
Anyone out there done their test recently in Tipp town and might be able to outline the route?
Maybe identify where U turn and slow ride skills are done?
Appreciate any heads up guys

Well T, a few moons ago I passed the test in Tipp. Knockanrawley was the favourite spot for "U" turns.
I had to get off my bike in front of the National school and drag it backwards up the hill towards the convent to show I could manouver it manually !!!
Give Brendan Power a ring on 087 677 6027 or better yet, come to the gathering at Ballyglass House on the 2nd Wednesday of every month for a chat and meet him there. (thats next Wednesday, not this Wednesday coming)
Keep an eye out for our Sunday spins and join in with us whenever you can.

My usual system which has worked a treat for my students is:
Read the traffic signs & the road markings and just comply with them, then all you have to do is wait for the testers instruction.
Maybe have a wee ride about the general area of the test just to familiarise yourself with any quirks the local council may dream up and you should with some general pretest assessment of your road craft fly through the test no matter what route the tester uses.
Good Luck
Kev

Well...................Wooohooo, passed
In fact I aced it, clear round all the way, not a mark on my sheet......dont mind if I gloat do you!?
To tell the truth i was surprised. Knew i hadn't done any major booboos but thought there were a couple of small ones alright. In fairness everything went great, no crazy drivers or kamikazee pedestrians and the feckin monsoon that started while we were in the car park passed off quickly. Calmness is key.
Thanks lads for the advice. Knockanrawley was indeed the U turn spot. Did a good bit of a country ride aswell, nearly 15 mins i would say, More than i expected but easier than town i guess.
If anyone has any questions about the route i'd be happy to help out or give any advice i can.
Happy trails
