I thought I'd expand on the idea and maybe personalise giving some of my background info that might suggest why i have strong opinion on the upcoming voting/protests/Demos/
This was the list of MEP's mentioned for Ireland.
Maybe you can improve......

Hello all,
This is a plea not to vote in favour of an upcoming "eu anti tampering bill"
which will adversly affect the custom motorcycling building buisness in
Ireland. Customising bikes is imperative to our rights and freedoms as
individual citizens.
I was a motorcycle mechanic when i left school for 4 years in the XX's. I've
been riding bikes since 19XX. My dad is 70 years old and he still rides a
bike every week. My mum met my dad when she had a Honda 50 in the 1960's. My
wife had a bike before I met her. All this and none of us actually met
whilst riding a bike or wearing anything that said we were/are bikers. ie.
just looked like "normal " joe and josephine soaps but for all of us there
was biking in our blood. (you'd be surprised just how many normal appearing
*voters are bikers* underneath that appearance) .
So as you can see bikes have and will continue to be a large part of mine
and my families daily life.
Apart from affecting us this bill if introduced in full, will result in the loss of
many skilled mechanics jobs, and the closure of many small bike shops and
related suppliers around the country. It is imperative in the current
climate that we protect irish jobs.
I like many others have gone out of my way to take advanced training and
riding skills. How many other motoring groups can you say regularly do this
in Ireland. Many of us (admitedly as we get older and wiser) keep our riding
skills in check and police ourselves. We don't need European non biking
bureaucrats (quite possible even non motoring of any sort on any regular
basis) telling us what is good for our own safety without even consulting us
the road using public.
I implore you once again please do not vote in favour of many of the
sections that are part of the upcoming bill (See the link below)

If you or one of your team can take a look over this bill you will see that
much of the evidence used in reports seems to be quite stale and dates back
to the 70/80/90's.
Yours Sincerely
Chris XXXXXX
(Advanced Motorist/Ex Motorcycle Courier/Ex Motorcycle Mechanic/ Ex Motorcycle Racer, also ex
Van & Truck Driver,Ex Transport Manager, Ex Chauffeur, Current part time
Taxi Driver, And most importantly an Irish Citizen Voter) I think all of
this qualifies me to have some form of an informed opinion about what is
good for the motorcycling and road using Irish Public
And this is by far the best response I got. It came from Jim Higgins office...
Dear Chris,
Thank you for your email. I will look into the issue, it has indeed
already come up for discussion in the Transport Committtee, of which
Jim Higgins is a member. I would urge you however, together with the
other members of your campaign team not to call for a blanket
rejection of the legislation. The reason for this is simple - It is
very unlikely that the report will be rejected outright, even if Jim
were to vote against. However if you could pick specific points which
you have most difficulty with, something could then possibly be done,
for example rejection of certain paragraphs and so on.
For example, there has been much discussion on ABS and Jim supports
the mandatory fitting on ABS on larger bikes. So for this reason for
example, it is unlikely he would vote outright against the report.
I hope this has been of some help and I look forward to hearing from you.
Sean de Burca,
Assistant to Jim Higgins MEP.
