I made a few calls and asked a few questions, and one name kept being repeated to me. NDM.
So I called them, I got talking to Steve (I think). First question I asked was "can you rebuild Sachs shocks?"
The answer I got both surprised and impressed me.... " sure.....whick Aprilia is it from" I had found my guy.
A few weeks ago I was finally in the Dublin area and took the opertunity to drop the shock into him.
He took a look at it, rubbed his chin a little and looked me dead in the eye and said " I'm pretty confident I can sort this"
I left it with him and went on about my life, about a week later I called to see if he had gotten anywhere with it, I was told it was nearly ready and it was looking good, I was very very happy. I did not want to have to buy a new shock......again.
Last Saturday morning I finally got a chance to re fit the rebuilt shock, after a few weeks with the standard shock in, I was looking forward to a little comfort.
Once the job was done, I decided I had better test it, the plan was to cruise to Carraic on Shannon on the N4 to get a feel for it and see what needed adjusting. I never made the N4, as soon as I turned out the gate of the house, I knew it was 100% better than it ever had been before Steve got his hands on it, I immidiately changed my plans and took the back, twisty fun roads to Carraic.
My bike is now like a new machine, it corners better, is FAR more comfortable, nad it very stable at speed.
So, to sum it all up.
Steve, your a legend.
