Need Some Recommendations

Just wondering can anyone recommend any historically accurate books or films and so on about the Russian invasion of Afganistan in 1979. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Not too heavy and gives cold hard facts, he's a former ambassador to USSR turned historian...remember reading this a while back, got it from the local library because it was hard to get in shops
