I've been in touch with Ciara in Tallaght NCH about this years Toy Run and we have pretty much everything sorted with just a few bits left to organise. Meetup point and route will be the same as last year - it's a handy spin for riders of all skill levels and why change something thats worked so well thus far. Hopefully the weather will be as good as last year too! Please print out the route from Google Maps and bring on the day.
If you have any ideas/suggestions for this year's run or feedback on last years run please PM me - it'd be great if we can make the run a little bit better each year!
IBF group rideouts have always gone really well with no major mishaps. And this is the way we all want to keep it. So have a good read of the group riding tips below. It's up to each rider to be responsible for themselves. Bear in mind that there's a large variation in abilities/skill level among the forum members and some of us will be less used to riding in groups. So be courteous and give other bikers plenty of space to feel comfortable. Last years run went really well and everyone was fantastic on the road - let's do the same again.

If I can't get a pressie in time, can I donate a few bob instead?
Anyone wanting to donate to the hospital can give me the money on the day and I'll pass it onto the hospital
Group Riding Tips:
On smaller roads:
Please no overtaking others in the group - keep to the order in which you move off
Ride to the bike behind you not the one in front - keep the bike behind you in view
Think for yourself - don't overtake just because the bike in front did
On motorways:
Ride in a staggered formation where possible - this increases your braking distance and also ensures your visible in the mirrors of the rider in front.
Urban roads:
The group may be split up due to roundabouts/traffic lights as we get closer to the hospital. If necessary, pull over and wait for the others to catch up. When the bike in front of you sees you stop, he/she should do the same. That way the group will remain together.
Stop off points:
Park the bikes in an orderly fashion - this means we'll use up less space and also it'll look a lot better for the photographs!!
As bikers we're responsible for making a good impression while on the road so no pulling wheelies beside old dears in their Fiestas!!
But seriously, we want to make a good impression to all those who meet us so ride safe, and ride responsibly.
