I've know the mantra is you shouldn't speed but thats taking it to extremes. But that the Swiss for you

So, strictly speaking, he wasn't responsible for, or in control of the offending vehicle at the time of the alleged incident m'lud

Brings up a couple of interesting questions...

1) He was not on his bike, thus not in control of speed or vehicle.. Can he be held accountable/ Can he be done for speeding in/on a motor vehicle if he is not on one at the time of the image been taken?

2) He was clearly only partly on the ground when the pic was taken, Could his speed be caused or at least helped by gravity? IE: could he rally have been doing 40mph but been thrown off thus accelerating him to a higher speed?

Really? I'd have thought the friction of the bike on the road would straight away start to slow the machine down?

Any literature to back up that theory ? The logical answer is that a sliding bike / object/ vehicle may stop decelerating for example in the transition from say dry tarmac to wet grass , which could make it appear to accelerate, but without energy input it can't .
