Hi,

I'm looking for a cheap bike to pass my test, must be over 125 and style is not important, naked, sports, cruiser...

Budget is small, around 700 euros.

Any advice?

tbh I think you might want to up your budget a bit, 700 might get you a cheap bike, but it might also get you a death trap. Also is Protection included in that? Such as a helmet and jacket and what not?

you will buy a cg125 for thay money, have a look on done deal, they are a good reliable bike and you'l get you money back too ,,, happy hunting :thumbsup:

thanks for the replies.

I've already got the gear and insurance is budgeted apart, overall i can spend 1100, but counting 350 for insurance as around the quotes i've been given are around that mark.

I just posted cause after a couple of months of donedeal calls couldnt find anything, so i will take your advice and keep saving until i reach the 900-1000 mark then will have another look at the market

thanks for the replies and the offers, I am going to wait another 4-6 weeks to save some more money and get a decent bike rather than a cheap one

Rogue, if I am lucky in these 4-6 weeks I'll be able to make an offer because I guess that 800 will be too low, isnt it?

Better off waiting 4-6 weeks, coming up to Christmas is sometimes the best time to buy a bike as people are desperate to sell.

Sold a CB400 for €750 a few weeks back new owner trained on my other CB400 SF and decided she wanted one herself and I just happened to have a spare one I was keeping for spares.
you are best just keeping your ear to the ground and maybe someone will drive over you with a machine at the right price

Good luck with the search, Have a friend who has the odd few category A bikes I know he has a 2003 GN125 for about €850? I think that is what he said.
