Dip & Head Lights Not Working V-Strom 1000

Just wondering if anyone ever had any issues with the lights on a V-strom. The dip & head lights are not working, yet the pass button brings on the head light! Has the pass button got a different circuit than the normal light system with a separate live and separate fuse?
I haven't looked into this yet as it only became apparent on the way home from work this evening. I will check all the normal things, i.e. the connections & fuse. The pass lights are what's throwing me off.
Any ideas?

Check what Sirius said as the fcuker was there today while I was fixing mine
If yours has the light switch on the right hand side, check that switch for corrosion
only two problems that I know of with the lights on the strom
Ya have me number , bell me

@PB- The lights won't work when I switch on full beam normally, yet they work for the pass switch so that rules out the bulbs

Will check that, because when I started her up to go to work yesterday morning I noticed that the dip lights didn't come on for a few seconds after starting but I just put it down to a low battery as I haven't used her in a few weeks!
