Car problem question ....kinda...

Hey, just wondering if anyone can help. Me ma bought a second hand car during the summer. It is still under the garages warranty/guarantee and there is an intermittant prob with it. The fan keeps coming on and staying on for ages. The car has been brought into the garage twice at this stage with the same problem and it was thought the prob was fixed until today...the car was moved about 10 foot and the fan stayed on for 10 mins. Im just wondering what are her rights with regards to actually getting the problem fixed once and for all. Obviously the garage the car was bought at and brought to to fix the problem is either a)useless or b)knows whats wrong with the car and its gonna cost an arm and a leg for them to fix so theyre not actually doing anything about it..Can the car be brought to another garage to get it fixed and have the useless garage pay for it? Can it be brought to another main dealer of that particular make car to be fixed? or what?
Any advice appreciated.

Is it not still under the manufacturer's warranty?
Could be wrong, but is it 3 years for SEAT?
When I bought a second hand Honda Jazz for the driving instruction, my mechanic checked the car out and spotted a whine in 1st and 2nd gear.
The dealer contacted Honda and I Googled the problem and discovered that they had an extended warranty (7years) for the gearbox because defective bearings had been
fitted in the factory. Honda Waterford did the job and all paid for - perfect!
So, see if SEAT can help you and then talk to the 2nd hand dealer.
Good luck!

Is Seat not "the home of the 7-year warranty"?
Get advice from another mechanic but don't get them to do any repairs as this may invalidate your warranty.

Tis a 3 year warranty on it I think...2 year manufacturers and 1yr dealers. Gonna have to get someone else to look at it alrite coz the dealer obviously doesnt know his arse from his elbow..

Had a similar problem with a garage.
I did the following:
Gave him a written description of each problem.
Gave him a written description of what I expected should be done to repair it.
Told him I would get it done myself if he didn't do it in a timely fashion, but I would be taking him to the small claims court.
We ended up having a comprimise, Most car dealers are gangsters IMO.

If it aint broke dont fix it !
