at last i started to do some work on my aprilia
the first pic is of how i baught it
the bike was a wreck but had a good engine
everything else was too rough to work with
got a frame and swing arm off inadzuma, thanks again dave
now have the frame and swing arm polished
the new front end arrived yesterday its the standard aprilia one im going to put the same setup on the front of this as i have on the nsr with the brembo front caliper
got a set of bicycle clocks and fitted them into the tank
i cleaned up the engine but its still abit oxidised so im goin to get it bead blasted and spray it black
the cdi and rave controller are after being derestricted and there'll be a 34mm carb goin onto it to give it some more power

the clocks are recessed into the tank, there cut into the tank cover and theres a plastic tank inside that
i heated the petrol tank on the inside and flattened the top of it down to make room for the clocks to fit

If you can get your hands on an after market exhaust (Arrow, JL, Jollymoto) you'll save a lot of weight and you'll get more out

of the 34 mill carb. conversion.

fitted a mask today wasn't really sure about it but its starting to grow on me now

got a bit more done to it this week
fitted new drag bars, quick action throttle, fireblade master cylinder and pazzo levers
also started mocking up a new sub frame for the german seat

got the nsr repaired so im back working on this again
got the sub frame finished today its using three rails with the bottom one comin from the shock mount instead of the usual four, i put a zxr750 rear seat as the seat
also fitted a 06 636 radial master cylinder and a cone filter

No Dave ill talk to you soon might need a few bits

decided to join the tank and tail piece into one piece, made a fibre glass panel for the side still have to fill it in properly so it all looks like one piece, also made the undertray while i was at it
more parts arrived from dave today so the engine is back out and the clutch is in just have to wait for the new gasket kit to arrive to finish off the engine

got the engine back in the bike painted the casings black while it was out
got the wiring loom fitted aswell took awhile to hide all the wiring under such little bodywork but most of it fitted inside the frame
next job is to make a stainless undertray for it

Do you have plans for the seat support bar that is welded to the top of the shock mount, will it be cahanged, tidied, removed ?

What about the frame, will it polished or coated when the project gets finished?

And did you get the casings coated or did you paint them, they look great.

the frame will stay polished, this bike doesnt have to be practical have the nsr for everyday use
this is just the bike for messing at the weekend
the casings are the plastic ones so i just painted them black myself

Your doing a fine job there lad,the bars suit the bike down to the ground,mean looking frontend
