McWilliams to race at the 2012 Northwest 200?19/01/2012

Rumours currently circulating in the Irish racing paddocks have Jeremy McWilliams making a return to racing in 2012 and he will apparently take part in the inaugural Northwest 200 Supertwins race in May.

McWilliams, who is almost always at a circuit somewhere, is said to be part of Ryan Farquhar's KMR Kawasaki team and will campaign a bright orange ER-6f in the new class. It is thought Farquar himself is to ride alongside the veteran Ulsterman along with youngster Jamie Hamilton

That's the very fella that made / caused me to run onto the track at Donnington when he came 3rd in the British GP many

moons ago.? 1999??

Glad he's starting at the NW.

I'd be a bit worried about a debut on the little roads down here??? Different ball game I think.

Best of luck to him, didnt think he's ever compete in a road race considering he has called for it to be banned. In fairness that was a number of years ago and was after some high profile fatalities.
Id say he will do well.
Poor ole Mervyn will be praying for better luck with the weather this year.
