Tyre recall Metzeler Tourance

had a set of Metzeler Tourance fitted last July prior to trip to portugal

decided to check tyres and price around for a set this year prior to euro trip

Metzeler site has a recall for rear tyre so anyone with same tyre get onto supplier

The recall doesn't affect me but as an aside I wouldn't take Tourances for the Strom if I got them for free. That said, I wouldn't put anything other than Tourances on the TransAlp. Go figure. :Chin scratch:

The recession must be terrible for those involved.

mine dont match either

I must say though that the 6k+ miles I put up on them so far were brill not a bother and stuck to the road

gonna get another set for euro trip in August :thumbsup:

How many miles do you expect to get from them before you have to change?

Dont know about the new style ones, but the older version I got 10k MILES off the first set, and the second set got me from San Diego to Medellin in Colombia. Changed them there, with lots of meat left still on em. Third set got me to Lima, and still loads left on em. Great value for money those things. And not too bad off road. Have to be on the right bike though....
