I'm not sure what could be seen at 9.00pm Wed, but I might take a spin out on Friday @ 3.00pm for the take off. It could be a while before it come here again.

The 787 isn't particularly big, so don't be too disappointed when you see it. It's technically more advanced that most aircraft and more fuel efficient, that's about the height of it (no pun intended)

It has already been to Shannon. Very nice airplane and not much larger than a standard jumbo. Interior is nice and the three class breakdown was a nice set up. Coach class still has some nice leg room and I loved the size of the windows. After seeing the plane I would rather be on it rather that the problem plagued Airbus A380.

A beautiful aircraft and one worth seeing...............

In saying that, it's got to have a lot more electronics than the Scarebus A380......................so time will tell............

Cromwell it's actually similar to the Aer Lingus A330, so not quite 747 size!

Around the back, near the Boot Inn. If you stand with your back to the Boot Inn, turn to your left and proceed, you will pass Rescue 116s base, then the ground control tower, on down about 1000 yards the road turns sharply right, I normally stand on that bend, there is a barrier which is great for standing up on, see the pilots, my son and I wave at them to see which pilots will wave back , Aer Lingus winning, Ryanair not doing too good, Etihad nothing.....

Know the spot, I used to bring my young lad there too. I had a look on Streetview - 2 lads in a La Bucca van skiving off work to look at the planes.

Depends on where it's heading and the wind direction. Normally it will take off heading West(ish) and if going to the UK or Europe, it will bank right, sometimes left, if going to the US it will continue straight on West,I doubt you will see it in East Wall, I will take lots of pics and post some here. PM me your no. and I will ring u as she takes off, or slightly after when it's out of camera range.....
