hey people,

its a while since i had a bike and would love to get another 2 stroke for buzzing in the summer.

what 2 stroke oils are the best out there and what are the ones to stay away from?

wouldnt be interested in premixing!

i can see, Silkoline, Motul, Rockoil, Agip, Mobil, Shell, Repsol ?

all synthetic but varying in price per litre.

I use Shell Advance 2T oil on my GT380 and it seems fine. Make sure the oil is fully synthetic at least.

Only eve used the Rock oil and Castrol,find both very good

Putoline TTX or Castrol Power 1 Racing (Replaced TTS?).

They're expensive though..

Apparently there's a better high spec Putoline - Ester Tech RS 959. I've not used it though.

the castrol, rock oil and to some extent shell seem to be the most popular.

I was looking at the Mobil 1 racing oil, I can get it for €16 for a 1L bottle.
anyone use it before?
is that a good price for 1L?

That Mobil stuff is sihte

buy the dearest one u can afford, or as above the shell 2t is actually good, might be worth while getting onto them and ordering a gallon of it or more if your racing

Castrol TT-S is the only way to go for auto lube road bikes. yes it's expensive but rebuilds cost alot more. It's all I used in the rs50 I had, which was ridden flat out everywhere as it was a 50!!!! But I never had any engine issues with it.

It's was recommended to me by 2, 2stroke fanatics.
I'm also pretty sure it's what they guys on rgv250.co.uk would recommend.

Maybe buy in bulk, might save ya a few quid?? Just a thought.

it will give you the spec of oil for your machine,. hard to beat Motul ;-)

i can get 1l of shell advance ultra 2t for €9.50 is that a good price for full synthetic?

i assume anything fully synthetic is good as jack n noff. suggests.

is that oil discontinued by any chance?

9.50 is CHEAP!!!!

I'm not sure about the second question!!

While I'm here...does anyone know where I can get Castrol A747?? They've got it in Crossans but is there anywhere closer

to home???
