I had another look at the picture and read the blog about it, yeah John spongy front brakes would worry me a tad, the Carbs reblancing would/should be easy to remedy.

I've just read through this thread an maybe it's just me but I do think the people that hated this bike the most were the ladies, what's going on girls? I know one thing for sure I do like girls if they have a pink bike or a black bike, I could really care less what color their bike is, as long as I get kisses I'm happy.

So is it wrong for a girl to express herself and her girliness buy having her bike painted pink? Look at the lady riding her bike in the snap Super 10 put up, boy I wish I could ride a bike like she can and she's a GIRL! So comon gals what's the deal here? Don't you ladies not get enough stick about being the "weaker sex" when you join in on this man's past-time of biking without slagging off one lady's particular taste and how she likes to express herself? Some of the best rider's I have ever seen are girls, so it really does seem that you ladies are putting each other down when you really should be doing the opposite.

You playing Devils Advocate here Shins?! Speaking for myself only - Its not really a question of putting another girl down. If you heavily customise a bike - you are putting your own stamp on it. If that 'customisation' is a really s*itty paint job, then be prepared for negative feedback. That pink blob paintjob looks totally amateur and TACKY!! However - it would be tacky in any colour... but Neon pink is just so in your face that its extra offensive!!

My first ever GPz900R was purple.... with pink decals....

I'm colourblind and thought it was purple (some kind of blue colour) with lighter blue decals....

It wasn't till I got it home that my wife pointed it out to me...
(but it explained how I got it cheap)

Between a few breakers, I managed to piece together a full set of red/black (A7 colour) bodywork within a fortnight....

Ok Devil's avocate I'll own up to it Jem. Nah I really like the pink paint job, I think it's girly and looks great for what it is, I like tacky always did. I do know you don't have to be all pinky to be a lady, some ladies wouldn't wear pink in a whole lifetime. Some girls like to wear pink and it does look great on these girls as well. The lady in Super 10 snap, I don't know her name although I did meet her in Kells. She is a beautiful woman and she can really ride her bike and it also looks good in pink and before you ask yes I did get a kiss from her. I can't see how you would look at this bike art and say it was offenceive, a tad strong I tink. Ladies are equal to men as far as I'm concerned, but in being equal doesn't mean they have to be like us men, they can also have a soft side and it's this soft side that most of us men love.

So devils avocate is finished....well for now anyhow.

As Ive mentioned before Im not a fan of pink but the pink isnt the issue here, as Jem has said its the pure tackyness of the paint job and I think it would be tacky in any colour...and it being neon pink adds to it.

These are all pink and as theyre not my cup of tae I dont think theyre manky and the colour wouldnt put me off buying it as much as that GSXR400.(not that Id ever buy a harley, regardless of colour!! )

Just because baby girls are traditionally dressed in pink doesn't mean we have to dress up like fcuking fairies for the rest of our lives! If painting a bike pink is expressing the owner's femininity, then why aren't all blokes' bikes painted blue??

I've said before that I don't think women bikers need to make a public statement that they are women, by painting their bikes or whatever else, in lurid colours. If you're confident as a woman rider, why would you feel the need to point out to folks that you're a girlie??? Personally, I'd rather be judged on the way I ride and the condition I keep my bike than the fact I've got a bumpy chest.
