Transporting a bike to Mondello Issue transporting a bike to Mondello

Here is the story so Far
Did a couple of track days on the SV650
Loved it, but it's not really a track bike. And I could write it off on a Track as I'm still learning.
The bike is in good condition so I don't really want to rag it on a track
So I bought Pat Bradley's old R6
The Oul lad had a tow bar on his old car, so the Idea was just to buy a trailer for a couple of hundred euro and off I go.
However
My Dad has gone a traded up, the new Car doesn't have a tow bar and getting 1 fitted is going to cost €480 + Labour (€550 I'd say)
So that plus the Trailer would be near €1000
So I was thinking, I should probably just buy an Old Van.
This would be better as I could store the bike in the Van as opposed to having to drag the Bike through my mothers "Brand New Kitchen" every time I wanted to go to a track day.
So I was thinking along the lines of a Renault Trafic 200[2/3] However the insurance is Chicken Oriental... €1187 premium for a Van worth about €1K
Any suggestions on who to go to for Van insurance etc
What would you do in this situation.
I haven't had my own car in a couple of years now, before that I had 4 years NCB and since then I have been a named driver on my partner's, mothers and fathers car's

Toe bars usually just bolt stright on with a couple of bolts, simples.
I done so with my Berlingo, £20 for the toe bar (gumtree.co.uk), €8 for some paint to spruce it up a bit and €5 for new bolts to fit it with. I downloaded the fitting instructions from one of the toe bar suppliers web sites which included the full list of the bolts needed so I knew what to get before I started.
A few hours later one Saturday morning all was done, as good as getting a new one fitted in Citreon, all for a grand cost of approx €40...

Well there in lies the Delima
It's a 2010 E Class Merc.
Straight away I know what your thinking (Rich fcukers wont even shell out for a tow bar)
But it ain't like that. I don't live with my Parents and they are separated.
I don't get anything off either of them and nor would I want it.
I've checked around for a tow bar for this car, can't find any and the Oul lad ain't to keen on not have the OEM Merc towbar fitted.
It's looking more and more like the Van route.

Lmao at you trying to figure that one out!!
I see you have removed the recording of your wee spill in Mondello!!!
Now I have you really thinking!! Lol
On the point of transporting the bike, the van would be the better option. Would your dad really want you loading oily tools, spare wheels, tyre warmers etc into his nice new Merc? But I wouldn't be a fan of leaving the bike stored in the back, a better option would be to ask a friend or family member who has space in their shed (and a side entrance) to store it for you!

Was a sihte video, In fact all the vids from the tail were muck!
Only put that one up to show people.
Wasn't even going that fast when I slipped off, I'd been taking it faster during the day but it had literally just started to rain on that Lap and off I went
(New Fairing and gear shifter was by no means cheap

Yeah I think it's looking like a Van.
Pain in the Arse so it is. I need to buy my own house with a shed really. (More money)
I have no one that could store the bike for me.

Try a smaller van than a Traffic/Vivaro. I had a Peugeot Expert (same as a Citroen Dispatch) when I started and it was plenty big enough for an R1 and all the bits and bobs needed. Also cheaper to run on fuel, insurance, tax, etc. And it worked well as an everyday vehicle.
Failing that - I have a grand Mercedes Sprinter for sale

Was the Expert and LWB or SWB (I can't believe I'm talking about Van's on a trackday forum)
