Well last friday I retook my test and flew it with only two little black marks against me, one for dabbing the toe during the U turn. It's a fair cop Gov!

I bought the old beemer with the intention of doing a light overhaul and resto on it but I couldn't start till I got the test outa the way and now that I have I should get on with it.

The missus'n'offspring are going to be away next week for a few days of the midterm break so the dilemma is:

Option i) Stay at home and start stripping the bike in preparation for the summer or...

Option ii) Go for a bit of a skite on it for a couple of days. (Funds are tight so I wount be jumping on any Ferry's or the like) but where to go?

Depends...if you plan on keeping the bike for ages it can be very rewarding to take it apart a bit and get to know it mechanically.

If you plan on selling anyway at some point in the near to medium-term future then maybe just go have fun. As long as it is safe to do so, i.e. the bike doesn't NEED to be stripped and serviced etc.

I agree with you Fabio, refurbing can be very satisfying & the Bikes A1 mechanically, it's purely cosmetic. I'll be keeping it for the 2 years at least to get my value out of the restrictor kit.

I'm looking into CBR46's suggestion. This whole photo rally concept is new to me and I'd like to get away so I might start with a couple of points in the wehst.....or not! Decisions decisions

I rarely (these days )plan pleasure biking much in advance , if the weathers good , ride it, and if not ,tinker ... ( unless you enjoy riding in snow/ice rain etc)
