Ok folks as you can imagine its alot of work to get these things off the ground. So thanks for all the help and support from people over the last few months. This series will be MCI governed so you will need a race licence to compete. But don't panic if you don't have one. Just drop me a pm or an email and we'll get u sorted. For 2010 we will be backed by the Tullyallen Club. Tullyallen have being instrumental in helping with getting this off the ground and I can't thank Ed and Paul enough for all the help and also to Sean and the MCI.
For 2011 we will be independent club. Were goin to aim to have the 1st race in June and then run the the 5 events thru to Sept/Oct so that gives folks plenty of time to save. We will also be running a compulsory track day before hand and for those who have'nt done a flag seminar we will be holding a flag day for the new licence holders. Were goin to make this series as exciting as possible. Each race event will differ from the other. The endurance race being the main focus, but we will also up the anty a bit between competitors and throw in some sprint races and a superpole competition. Aswell as some track days for the competitors also to get some valuable track time.
Ok so now for the important stuff. We will be very strict on our policing with the set regualtions
Motobike1 fun endurance series is designed as a totally independent championship.
Each team consists of 2 to 4 riders who compete on one and the same motorcycle. All bikes competing must have a production engine and frame that is 10 years old or more and pass a set static noise test. For 2010 all bikes must have a production engine and frame built before 31st December 1999.
Each team must appoint a team manager. As the emphasis of the series is ‘fun’ if a team feels that another team has an unfair advantage over their fellow competitors. The team manager is then entitled to seek a vote from all team managers to decide if the team in questions can qualify for a points finish.
Races will have a Le Mans type start with grid positions drawn by the organisers before each race. The team with the most distance covered at the end of the race will be crowned the winners.
There will be 2 classes:
M1: Production machines with any no. of cylinders
between 750cc and 1100cc.
M2: Production machines of up to 600cc 4 cylinders
and up to 750cc 2 cylinders.
Proper Legitamate documents must be available to prove the machines year of manufacture if required and engine and frame no.s must be clearly visible.
All teams are obliged to ride with road legal tyres. Racing tyres are not allowed & Tyre warmers are not allowed
The series is not open to riders who have raced internationally or nationally in the last 10 years, or currently Racing at clubman’s level for 2 years or more. Riders must be 18 years old +
Each team can have a maximum of 4 pit crew, riders not included. These persons have to be able to identify themselves to the organisation throughout the whole day.
Ok we are limting the no. to 21 bikes allowed out on track at one time. So thats 21 teams. If we have enough interest we will run each class on seperate days. Full info on the venue, costings and final rules & regs will follow shortly.

If you would like to start your own team and have a bike but don't know anyone to join you, or if u have no bike and want to take part. Contact me and we'll help get u sorted.
This is the 1st year and as they say "Rome was'nt build in a day". So its a learning curve for all parties involved. And our aim is to make this series as fun and as successful as possible for the future.
Thanks folks,
Mark
